The Warren County Park District improves quality of life for all residents and visitors by maintaining parks, greenspace, and access to a variety of recreational opportunities, enabling individuals and families to get outside. Formed in 1970, the WCPD provides intrinsic environmental, aesthetic and recreational benefits to everyone, which further helps strengthen the economic vitality of Warren County.

WCPD properties cover more than 400 square miles of Warren County and have increased from 1 to 17 and from 95 to more than 1,700 acres. WCPD maintains county parks, excluding township- and municipally-operated parks, and remains dedicated to providing preservation of greenspace, quality recreation benefitting all county residents and visitors, and excellent parks overall. By developing, protecting and preserving quality parks and natural areas throughout the county, the WCPD strives to achieve and maintain a balance of programs, operations and facilities for public use and enjoyment on a scale sufficient to support quality recreational and natural opportunities for children and adults of all ages as Warren County continues to grow.

Armco Park, home to the 2022 Holiday in Lights show and 5K, remains one of the WCPD’s most popular parks covering 311 acres and includes a 110-acre lake for boating and fishing; natural areas and trails over rolling hills and wooded terrain; an enclosed rental pavilion that seats 200; shelters, picnic areas and grills; recreational facilities including a softball complex and 18-hole golf course; sand volleyball, tennis, pickleball and basketball courts; and more.

Other popular parks operated by the WCPD include Hisey Park, which houses a popular wedding venue, trails and sports fields, and a respected observatory operated by the Warren County Astronomical Society; Landen Deerfield Park, which includes its own lake, sports fields, and outdoor concert venue; and many others.

Reach Out Lakota (ROL) was founded in 1992 and operates as an independent food and clothing pantry that relies heavily on the West Chester, Liberty Township and Lakota Local School District communities for financial support, in-kind donations and volunteers. ROL’s vision is to continue to provide a hand up to those in need throughout West Chester and Liberty Township, all while continuing to raise awareness of our organization and grow our programming to best serve our clients.

Operation Give Back (OGB), located in Blue Ash, is a non-profit organization established in 2002. OGB provides assistance to children and families in need who reside in the Blue Ash, Montgomery, Sharonville, Sycamore Township and Symmes communities with a Community Food Pantry, After School Tutoring/Mentoring, as well as two major “give back” programs – the School Supply Give Away in August and the Holiday Store in December. The mission of OGB is to strive for educational equity and provide community outreach to students and families in need, inspiring all to realize their full potential and GIVE BACK to society.
